Founded with our clients in mind, we offer the most up-to-date solutions for permanent hair removal, skin rejuvenation, weight loss, and hormone replacement.
We combine multiple strategies and modalities to optimize our clients’ results offering laser, electrolysis, and thermolysis treatments to ensure the best hair removal protocol for each individual client. Our founder, Karen Cooksey is a passionate professional offering advanced services and products to help our clients look and feel their very best.
At Embrace Skin and Wellness, we use the latest equipment, with microchip technology and increased megahertz for faster, more comfortable delivery. Our state-of-the-art epilators give us a choice of multiple modalities — thermolysis, galvanic, and blend —for even greater efficiency.
We have partnered with Aesthetic Management Partners (AMP), who provide state-of-the-art technology used for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and acne treatments. Their equipment complements our laser and radio frequency devices including AGNES, Scarlet, Alpha, and Magma.
Karen Cooksey, Licensed Electrologist and Laser Technician
Karen Cooksey, co-founder of Embrace Skin and Wellness, is passionate about sharing her knowledge of aesthetics and wellness with her clients.
As a board-certified electrologist, certified laser technician, and clinical educator, Karen is committed to providing clients with the highest quality services in a professional and comfortable environment.
Karen takes immense pride in providing state-of-the art technologies and biologics to ensure clients receive safe, confidential, and stellar treatments. Customers are ensured to receive the best in skin care products, hair removal options, and skin rejuvenation services from experienced and qualified professionals.
After decades of working in senior executive positions, she and Dr. Krystle Holliday decided to open Embrace Skin and Wellness to help others embrace a happier, healthier, and more confident life.
Karen is a member of the Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal and president of the Tennessee Electrologists’ Society.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Memphis and attended Indiana University for doctoral studies.
Dr. Krystle Holliday
Dr. Krystle Holliday, DNP, FNP-C is a distinguished leader in the field of nursing and a pioneering co-owner of Embrace Skin and Wellness. Her journey in healthcare is marked by a profound commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
Dr. Holliday’s expansive career encompasses roles as a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner across various hospitals in the Mid South.
Her dedication to healthcare extends beyond clinical practice; she has successfully operated three urgent care clinics demonstrating her prowess in healthcare management and her dedication to community health.
Also, Dr. Holliday’s passion for education led her to share her knowledge and experience with nursing students at Christian Brothers University and the University of Memphis as a clinical instructor.
With an extensive array of certifications, Dr. Holliday is uniquely equipeed to offer a wide range of services, including cutting-edge aesthetic treatments, weight loss solutions, and IV therapies, all tailored to meet Embrace Skin and Wellness clients’ individual needs.
Dr. Holliday’s approach to care is characterized by a deep understanding of the interplay between mental and physical health, beauty, and wellness, makingi her a true innovator in the field.
A proud Mississippi native, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee, a Master and Bachelor of Science and Nursing from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Milsaps College.
Sharon Trice, Licensed Electrologist and Permanent Makeup Artist
Sharon loves helping her clients feel better about themselves.
With more than 30 years of experience in electrology, she is the founder and CEO of Beautiful Details, which operates within Embrace Skin and Wellness,
With a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from The University of Memphis, she attended The Tennessee School of Electrology. Licensed in electrology, she is an active member of the Tennessee Electrologist Society.
In 2019, Sharon started a year-long apprenticeship, which included one-on-one class instruction with Nouveau Contour. Also, she received several certifications from world-renowned experts: Shay Danielle, Tina Davies, Elaine Campin, and Aleksandra Maniuse.
Sharon is a licensed Permanent Makeup Artist who specializes in procedures for eyeliner, eyebrows, and lip color.
In 2021, Sharon earned certification to provide Laser, IPL, and microneedling treatments.
Committed to staying abreast of industry trends and technologies, Sharon regularly attends advanced seminars and workshops.
With her advanced training and extensive experience, Sharon will review and analyze your face to ensure proper symmetry, shape, and coloring before treatment begins.

Tabitha, Licensed Medical Aesthetician
After battling acne for years, I started working in the skincare industry in 2004.
If I couldn’t hide my acne, I’d miss classes and parties. Frustrated and embarrassed, the acne brought me down.
After two years of college, I changed career plans to become a licensed aesthetician and learn about skin care. I had no idea where it was going to take me!
I started practicing aesthetics in a Germantown, Tenn. day spa. After two years, I began training on medical devices to expand my knowledge and get better treatment outcomes than the early aesthetic treatments like chemical peels and microdermabrasion.
In 2009, I earned Cutera laser certification and began performing laser hair and vein removal and providing skin-tightening treatments.
In 2013, I joined Laser Aesthetics in Cordova, Tenn. to focus more on medical aesthetics and train on advanced devices like RF microneedling and CO2 skin resurfacing procedures.
This past year, I decided to gain more independence as a provider and learn new procedures. I have been at my new home at Embrace Skin and Wellness since July 2023! I have really enjoyed learning new treatments and sharing it all with my clients!
I love my job, my clients, and the joy it brings me to restore confidence in people. Without aesthetics I would have never learned proper skincare or the procedures available to improve skin health and heal skin diseases like acne and melasma.

A Mississippi native, Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to patient care from her extensive background in emergency room, trauma, and critical care medicine.
Her expertise is not only limited to acute care settings; Sarah has also made significant contributions to public health during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was instrumental in researching and testing disease control measures for FEMA in New York City.
In her current role at Embrace Skin and Wellness, Sarah is at the forefront of blending traditional nursing skills with the latest advancements in aesthetic treatments and wellness therapies.
Her background in highpressure healthcare environments has equipped her with the ability to handle complex situations with calmness and competence, ensuring that every patient feels safe, comfortable, and valued during their treatment.

Melissa, RN-BSN
Melissa, RN-BSN, is a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse at Embrace Skin and Wellness. She’s combined her extensive healthcare background with a passion for aesthetics to provide exceptional care to her clients.
Since earning her nursing degree from Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis in 2016, Melissa has gained valuable experience as a mother-baby nurse in local hospitals.
Transitioning from acute hospital care to the field of aesthetics, Melissa has found her niche in enhancing natural beauty and promoting wellness. As an aesthetics provider, she specializes in injections and skin rejuvenation techniques. Her expertise includes administering toxin and filler injections, as well as offering innovative IV therapy services. Melissa is also known for her skill in delivering AquaFirme facials, a treatment renowned for revitalizing the skin to give it a healthy glow.
In addition to her in-office procedures, Melissa extends her services through the Wellness on Wheels program, bringing high-quality IV treatments directly to clients.

Carly, Licensed Medical Aesthetician
In 2008, Carly discovered her love for skin care while working as a traveling sales rep for a beauty supply store.
Since 2012, Carly has been a licensed medical aesthetician.
She holds credentials to provide microneedling, IPL, laser hair removal, full body waxing, facials (with a emphasis on acne), anti-aging treatments, chemical peels, spray tanning, eyelash extensions, dermaplaning, scalp rejuvenation for hair growth restoration.
With high energy and enthusiasm, she’s committed to client care and education. She puts a strong emphasis on corrective skin care regimens and after care.
Carly adds a personal touch to how she treats each client with compassion by meeting them where they are on their skin journey. She’s always happy to assist and also offers virtual consultations.
